Introduction to the subject:
Welsh is a statutory subject taught throughout Key Stage 3 and as a full GCSE subject
in Key Stage 4. Pupils are taught how to read, write and speak in the target
language as well as developing their literacy skills.
KS3:

Autumn Term – Daily routine, Healthy Eating and Keeping Fit

KS4:
Welsh at KS4 is taught as a full GCSE subject over two years with the first element of the exam being sat in the Spring term of year 10. Pupils are taught three broad themes throughout both years, Youth, Employment and Wales and the World. Pupils are encouraged to speak, read and write independently so there is an expectation that they learn the vocabulary lists provided at the beginning of the course.
