Gareth Price-Lovell

Alumni Spotlight: Gareth Price-Lovell

At Ysgol Bryn Alyn, we are always proud to hear about the successes of our former students, and Gareth Price-Lovell is a fantastic example of someone who turned a passion into a rewarding career path.

While at Ysgol Bryn Alyn, Gareth wasn't entirely sure what he wanted to do after leaving school. However, through conversations with his PE teachers, he realised that his future lay in sport and that it was possible to build a career doing something he genuinely enjoyed.

After leaving YBA, Gareth studied BTEC Sports Coaching at college before progressing to Wrexham University, where he completed a BSc (Hons) in Sports Injury Rehabilitation. During his degree, he gained valuable experience through placements with Widnes Vikings Rugby League Club, helping him develop both his practical skills and professional knowledge. Following graduation, Gareth decided to continue his education by studying for a Master's degree in Sport and Exercise Science.

Looking back, Gareth is grateful to the teachers at Ysgol Bryn Alyn who helped him discover his passion and set him on a pathway into a career he loves.

Gareth's Advice to Current Students

"If you feel like you don't know what you want to do, that's completely fine. Things have a way of falling into place. It's important to take every opportunity you can and be open to new experiences. Along the way, you'll meet good people who can help and support you, just as I did."

Gareth's story is a powerful reminder that you do not need to have your future mapped out from the very beginning. By embracing opportunities, working hard and following your interests, you can discover a path that leads to success and fulfilment.

We are incredibly proud of Gareth and all that he has achieved, and we look forward to following the next chapter of his journey in the world of sport.

Dream. Reach. Achieve.
