Cookie Policy
This page explains the cookies used on the Ysgol Bryn Alyn website, and why. We keep this as short as the actual list of cookies allows — this site_
does not use analytics, advertising or social media tracking cookies.
Cookies we use are only those essential for the delivery of all of our content and services:-
The only cookies set by this website come from Vimeo, and only on pages that include an embedded video. They are set by Vimeo for security and playback reasons, not for tracking, and all videos on this site run in Vimeo's privacy-enhanced ("Do Not Track") mode, which prevents Vimeo's own analytics cookie from being set at all.
Cookie | Purpose | Set by | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
player_clearance | Confirms a genuine visitor is viewing the video, to prevent automated abuse | Vimeo | 7 days |
cf_clearance | Security check to prevent automated bot traffic | Vimeo (via Cloudflare) | 1 year |
_cf_bm | Distinguishes humans from bots, for the video player's security | Vimeo (via Cloudflare) | 30 minutes |
_cfuvid | Supports the security checks above across multiple requests | Vimeo (via Cloudflare) | Session (deleted when you close your browser) |
Cookies we do not use
We do not use Google Analytics or any other analytics service, advertising cookies, or social media tracking pixels. We do not track which pages you visit or build any profile of your visit to this site.
Forms and other external links
Some pages link to services hosted elsewhere, such as Google Forms. These links always open in a new tab, and nothing from those services loads on this website itself — no cookie is set on this site as a result of these links being present. Once you follow one of these links, you are on that provider's own website, and their own privacy and cookie policy applies rather than ours. We'd recommend checking their policy if you have concerns.
Managing cookies
Because the only cookies on this site are the essential ones described above, there is nothing to opt in or out of. If you'd still like to view, manage or delete cookies stored by your browser, this can usually be done through your browser's own settings or help pages.
