School Beat
SchoolBeat

Ysgol Bryn Alyn works closely with North Wales Police through the SchoolBeat programme to help keep our students safe, informed and supported.
SchoolBeat is a Wales-wide educational programme delivered by police officers and community safety partners. It provides young people with information, guidance and support on a range of issues that affect their lives, helping them to make safe and responsible choices.
How Does SchoolBeat Support Schools?
SchoolBeat helps schools and the police work together when incidents occur involving pupils. The programme supports schools in responding appropriately to incidents of crime that take place:
On school premises
During the school day
Involving pupils
By working in partnership, schools and the police can ensure that incidents are dealt with effectively while supporting the wellbeing, safety and education of all young people.
Learning Through SchoolBeat
Through assemblies, workshops and educational resources, SchoolBeat helps students develop their understanding of important topics such as:
Personal safety
Online safety and digital citizenship
Anti-social behaviour
Bullying and cyberbullying
Substance misuse awareness
Healthy relationships
Crime prevention
Community responsibility
These sessions are designed to educate, inform and empower young people to make positive decisions both in school and in the wider community.
