Message from Mrs Slinn regarding Circuit Break announced by the First Minister 19/10/20 - Link
This morning at 8.40am we were informed that a pupil who last attended school on Monday 12th October has tested positive for Covid 19. It is believed that they have contracted the virus from a community contact and not at school.
Following the guidance passed to us from the Welsh Government we contacted the local authority public protection team. They have told us that we must isolate the bubbles (Year 7 and Year 8) and two of our buses (Tanyfron and Brynteg 1) that the young person travelled on. Pupils must isolate for 14 days from last Monday. Pupils were informed and we are grateful for the many parents who were able to pick their children up at such short notice. A letter has gone home with every pupil who needs to self-isolate and this will also be on our website.
Pupils in different year groups or those on different buses are not affected and should continue to attend school as normal. Staff who also taught the pupil on Monday have also been asked to isolate where necessary following Public Health Wales guidance. Work is being set, as usual, via our online platform. please support your children by regularly checking their Google Classroom. Support can be found on our website and by clicking the Online Learning button at the side of our Home page.
Thank you for your support in this matter.
